The applications below showcase skills across frontend, backend, and full-stack applications, using a variety of frameworks.

Solo Project

NC News

Front-end built with a Vite.JS React framework. Layout was built from scratch using CSS and styled with Material UI. All logic written in JS.

In the app, users can view articles with multiple sorting and filtering options, vote on articles, and post and delete comments.

NC News API

Full Node.JS backend server which seeds a PSQL database hosted with Supabase, and provides API endpoints. Express was used as middleware and logic written in Javascript and SQL.

The API has multiple endpoints, allowing all CRUD requests, and filtering, searching, and sorting.

Aperture Design

Next.JS React site, used as a personal landing page for website design work whilst continuing to develop coding skills.

The build is a static export using App Router, with Typescript as the logic. Tailwind CSS and Mantine UI are used for styling.

Group Project

Musical-y Music Practice App

Full stack app using a Reactive Native Expo framework, and written in Typescript. Users can set goals, record details of practice sessions, and check progress. Extra functions include ear training, and a metronome for accuracy.

Row Level Security was applied to the backend to ensure data integrity.

Timeline

My background has predominantly been as a research manager at national charities. I have extensive experience as lead and support in complex projects, and a strong record of delivery in varied environments where problem-solving is paramount. My work-ethos is typified by good communication skills, strong collaboration, and an ability to adapt throughout the life-cycle of projects.
